Whether you just want to sit in an orchard with a book in your hand or soar over the Dhauladhar Himalayas - we've got you covered. Triund Trek - 1 Day
Triund is a very popular trekking spot, and has panoramic views of the Dhauladhar mountains on one side and Kangra valley on the other. The trail continues onward to Lahesh Caves and Indrahar Pass. This trek is unavailable during the winter.
Bir Paragliding - Day Trip
Bir is India's most famous paragliding destination and a two hour drive from Forktail Villa gets you to this quaint village. Bir has held multiple paragliding competitions over the years due to its location and generally great flying conditions.
Kareri Village Homestay - 1 Night
A great option for those looking to spend a bit of time away from the town and steep themselves in the culture of the Kangra valley. We stay at a local homestay in Kareri village and take short walks around the village.
Kareri Lake Trek - 1 Night/ 2 Days
The Kareri Lake trek is a great overnight trek for fit beginners. We start the trek from Kareri village and make our way through old growth forest up to the glacial Kareri Lake and return the following day.
Bal Nala Camping - 1 Night
A half-hour drive from the Villa takes you to the road-head of the Bal Nala. The campsite is a 20 min walk away.
A great option for your first night outdoors or for winter camping.
Dharamshala Paragliding - Half Day
During your stay, you will be able to see paragliders taking off from Indu Nag - the ridge right in front of the house.
Paragliding at Dharamshala makes for a great half day activity if you do not have the time to go to Bir.
